Embodiment Construction

[0050] Embodiments of a single-phase converter circuit, a converter device, and a refrigeration cycle device according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to these Examples.

[0051] As the single-phase converter circuit according to the first embodiment of the present invention, a single-phase half-bridge converter circuit used for air conditioners and other home appliances will be exemplified. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing the circuit configuration of a single-phase half-bridge converter according to a first embodiment of the present invention. This single-phase half-bridge converter circuit includes a reactor 3 provided on either side of the AC power supply R line and S line from the noise filter 2 connected to the AC power supply 1, through four rectifying elements (diodes) 4a , 4b, 4c, 4d The diode bridge circuit 4 for full-wave rectification of the a...

Abstract

A low-cost converter is provided using a substrate of smaller size. A diode bridge circuit (4) includes four diodes (4a-4d). A shunt resistor (6) is connected between the diode bridge circuit (4) and a negative output. A semiconductor switching device (5a) is connected in parallel with the shunt resistor (6) and one diode (4c) connected to the shunt resistor (6). Another semiconductor switching device (5b) is connected in parallel with the shunt resistor (6) and another diode (4d) connected with the shunt resistor (6). The current through the shunt resistor (6) controls the semiconductor switching devices (5a, 5b).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a single-phase converter circuit for realizing AC-DC conversion, especially a single-phase converter for improving power factor, suppressing power supply harmonics, and adjusting DC voltage by controlling semiconductor switching elements through PWM (pulse width modulation) circuit. In addition, the present invention also relates to an inverter device and a refrigeration cycle device that suppress harmonics and improve power factor by semiconductor switching elements. Background technique [0002] Traditional single-phase converters, such as the "sine wave input single-phase rectifier circuit" disclosed in JP-P-10-337034 and the "rectification circuit" disclosed in JP-A No. 64-50686 and JP-P2-237469 Single-phase half-bridge converter circuits such as the "power supply device using PWM control" disclosed in the No. Figure 15 shows the composition of this traditional single-phase half-bridge converter circuit. In this half-bri...
