Abstract

The present invention relates to mobile communication in Internet, and is header compression / decompression method for MIPv6 in emitting data flow in radio mobile environment. On two ends of radio communication link, transmission layer header and network layer header (UDP / IPv6 / MIPv6) used in network transmitting real-time audio and video service are compressed in ROHC regulations. Based on the characteristic that the UDP / IPv6 / MIPv6 header has unchanged domains, intact MIPv6 header group is transmitted in the initial stage of transmitting data flow while selecting corresponding CID; and only changed header domains and CID of subsequent groups are then transmitted after starting compression regulations. The present invention defines the compression / decompression procedure and compressed group format and has simulation shows, header compression rate up to 96 %. The present invention raises greatly the channel utilization of radio links.
