Embodiment Construction

[0055] Embodiment 1

[0056] figure 1 It is a diagram showing the overall configuration of the large mobile communication system according to the present embodiment.

[0057] The mobile communication system of this embodiment is composed of a mobile station (communication terminal), a base station, and a base station controller.

[0058]Base stations 3a, 3b, 3c, and 3d have service areas 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d as management objects, respectively. Each base station holds a predetermined number of communication channels (communication channels), and sets communication channels for the mobile station in response to a request from the mobile station. All communication channels reserved by base station 3a are busy, and base station 3b has idle communication channels.

[0059] The mobile station 1a is connected to the base station 3a via a wireless communication line in the service area 5a (the communication channel has been set), and the mobile station 2a is waiting to receive in t...

Abstract

When all the channels-for-calling become in a state of being used (or when traffic exceeds a specific level) in a base station, the base station stops transmitting a control channel to a mobile station. Thereby, it becomes impossible for the mobile station in a waiting state at the base station to recognize the control channel of the base station. Then, the mobile station performs switching in order to receive a control channel of another base station having a vacant channel-for-calling in the vicinity. Thus, it is possible to reduce a call-loss rate in the whole system and time of call connection from the mobile station.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a mobile communication system in which a service area is formed by a plurality of cellular areas, and in particular to a communication control technique when a base station arranged in each cellular area performs communication control of a mobile station. Background technique [0002] In the mobile communication system, multiple base stations are set up, or sometimes multiple cellular areas are partially overlapped, so that the mobile station can move without interrupting the communication of the mobile station, or the required traffic can be received everywhere. [0003] In the existing mobile communication system, when all communication channels in a base station are used, that is, when the base station has no idle communication channels, the mobile station is not notified from the base station that there is no idle communication before the base station is waiting to receive a mobile station to make an outgoing call. ...
