The compositions of the present invention relate to improved hair styling compositions having from about 0.1% to about 15%, by weight, of an adhesive polymer having a weight average molecular weight of greater than about 20,000; from about 0.01% to about 20%, by weight, of particles; and an aqueous carrier.

Background of the invention [0002] Solid particles are known to be used as benefit agents in many formulations and personal care compositions. The solid particles can impart a beneficial effect to the composition comprising them or to the surface to which the composition is applied. Solid particles can be used as, for example, pigments or colorants, opacifiers, pearlescent agents, sensory modifiers, oil absorbers, skin protectants, matting agents, friction enhancers, slip agents, conditioners, exfoliants, odor absorbers or cleaning booster.
