Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device capable of reducing the size thereof, while retaining the needed size of the rotation radius of a final control element.
SOLUTION: By installing a slider 5 and a twisted coil spring 6 to an operating body 4 to mount the body 4 to a lower case 2, the wound portion 6a of the twisted coil spring 6 is provided between a supporting portion 4a of the operating body 4 and the final control element 4B thereof, and also movable contacts 5a3, 5b3 and fixed contacts 11, 14 are provided between the supporting portion 4a of the operating body 4 and the final control element 4B thereof. Consequently, the whole size of the multidirectional input device 1 can be reduced, while retaining the needed rotation radius R of the operating body 4.
