Abstract

This invention provides an air conditioner suppressing deterioration of heating capacity by suppressing radiation from a refrigerant of an outdoor heat exchanger to outside air when an outside air temperature is low during heating operation. When the the temperature of the outside air is lower than a set temperature during the heating operation, valve closing operation of closing an opening and closing valve 71 is carried out by a control means 75. Consequently, inflow of the refrigerant from an upstream side into the outdoor heat exchanger 14 can be suppressed. And a reverse flow of the refrigerant from a junction 19h side of a bypass passage 19 to an outdoor heat exchanger 14 side is prevented by a check valve 72.
