[0031]The particulate natural magnesium hydroxide used as filler material according to the invention is preferably prepared from coarsely comminuted brucite. Brucite can exist in essentially pure form, but is more commonly found in association with other minerals such as calcite, aragonite, talc, or magnesite, often in the form of layers between silicate deposits, chlorite in the form of stone or shale. The term "natural magnesium hydroxide" as used herein includes all forms and occurrences of brucite, and its processed (eg pulverized) derivatives.
