Benefits of technology

[0033]According to the thus constructed configuration or means of the present invention, when the porous application body (including comb-shaped, bar-shaped and other plate-like porous application bodies), examples of application bodies including sliver pen cores, felt-like materials, continuous-foamed sponge-like materials, etc., is adapted to have a porosity (Vd) ranging from 70 to 85%, it is possible to prevent liquid leakage (forward leakage) of the application liquid and provide a suitable supply of the application liquid to the comber. Since the tips of the comb member stick further out by 0.2 to 3.0 mm from the top end of the porous application body of the comber, it is possible to secure sufficient application performance as well as to avoid dirtying the scalp because the application liquid from the application body will not be directly applied to the scalp. Further, provision of the porous application body and comb teeth of the comb member arranged closely in parallel and kept out of contact with each other with a spacing of 5 mm or shorter, enables uniform application to essentially all parts of hair without dirtying the comb member with the application liquid.

Problems solved by technology

However, these hair application cosmetic containers entail the occurrence of excessive liquid leakage from the injection opening to the comb body or holes.
Further, uniform liquid supply from the communication passage or handle passage cannot be done, causing unevenness in hair dying.
However, with the above conventional hair applicator, application liquid cannot be supplied well to hair or excessive liquid leakage (forward leakage) may occur depending on the application liquid.
In some cases the application liquid from the container cannot be sufficiently supplied to the tips of the application pen cores, and in other cases, the application liquid from application pen cores may directly touch the scalp etc.
Accordingly, there has been a risk of the scalp being hurt when used for a hair dye.
Further, when the comber has a conventional configuration, it is impossible to secure sufficient application performance to hair.
Further, shed hairs etc. adhere to the comb member, and it is impossible to easily remove shed hairs etc., from the comb member or perform other maintenance.
As a result there have been inconvenient cases where the applicator still having application liquid left in the container is discarded.

Embodiment Construction

[0048]Referring next to the drawings a hair care applicator of the present invention and a cosmetic container equipped with the applicator will be described in detail based on the best mode for carrying out the present invention. However, the hair care applicator of the present invention and the applicator-equipped cosmetic container should not be limited to the following embodiment.

[0049]As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 an applicator-equipped cosmetic container 1 of the present embodiment, is specifically composed of a comber 30 can a container body 2. Comber 30 as the hair care applicator is composed of comb members 11 and a plate-shaped porous application body 10 arranged with the comb members 11, and is constructed such that an application fluid in a container body 2 can be applied over hair by way of application body 10 as hair is combed with comber 30.

[0050]As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, in cosmetic container 1 resin container body 2 is formed in a cylindrical shape. A rear end 2A of conta...

Abstract

A hair care applicator of the present invention is one that can, while combing hair by a comber made up of comb members and a porous application body arranged along the comb members, apply an application liquid in a container being attached to the hair by means of the porous application body. The porous application body of the hair care applicator has a porosity (Vd) falling within a range of 70 to 85%. With this arrangement, the hair care applicator and the applicator-equipped cosmetic container can deliver a suitable supply of application liquid without liquid leakage of the application liquid and, in addition, can assure sufficient application performance, preventing the application liquid or the like from being directly applied to the scalp. Here the porosity is defined as Vd={1−(w / ρsh)}×100, where w is the mass of the porous application body, s is the cross-section of the porous application body, ρ is the mean density of the porous application body and h is the length of the porous application body.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD[0001]The present invention relates to a hair-care applicator (applicator for hair) and a cosmetic container with the applicator, and relates to a hair-care applicator which is attached to a container body to apply an applicator liquid (hair dye, hair liquid, hair tonic etc.) stored in the container while combing hair (including hairs of humans and others such as pet animals, etc.) as well as to a cosmetic container equipped with that applicator.BACKGROUND ART[0002]Conventionally there have been known cosmetic containers equipped with a hair applicator which leads a hair dye or the like stored in a container to the spaces between comb teeth of a comber attached to the container to dye hair while combing hair with the comber.[0003]As an example, a configuration has been proposed which is composed of a medical fluid storage container serving as a handle and a comber joined to the container, wherein the comber is composed of a hollow shaft and a plurality of hollow comb ...
