Apparatus and method for stimulating neuromuscular tissue in the stomach. The neuromuscular stimulator stimulates the neuromuscular tissue by applying current-controlled electrical pulses. A programmable calendar stores parameters of the stimulating pulse, wherein the parameters have a reference to the time of day.
