FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] This invention relates to a three-sided wind scoop for aerating and cooling the interior of a sailboat. The term wind scoop is a commonly used name in the art for a ventilation device designed to direct the flow of fresh air into the interior of a sailboat through an opening such as a hatch on the sailboat.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] A major problem often encountered by sail boaters is excessive warmth and humidity that may build up in the interior of the forward cabin of the sailboat when it is at anchor, due to insufficient ventilation throughout the cabin. Preventing this problem and maintaining a comfortable temperature and humidity is particularly personally desirable, since the cabin generally comprises the living and galley space of the sailboat.
