The invention is directed toward a bone block, a bone-tendon-bone assembly and method of tendon reconstruction in which at least one tendon replacement is extended between two bone blocks and fixed within each of two bone tunnels in the bones of a joint using interference screws. Each bone block has a central through going bore and at least one substantially parallel channel longitudinally cut in the exterior of the bone block body in which the ligament replacements are seated. One end of each bone block has a rounded recess leading from the central bore to the exterior parallel channel.

A medical device for treatment of a stenosed body lumen, includes an open-ended cylindrical body carried on a distal end of a catheter for insertion of the device into the body lumen and placement at the stenosed site. The cylindrical body is movable between a collapsed position for insertion into the body lumen, and a radially expanded position pressed against the wall of the body lumen. In one embodiment the body sidewall is formed by a plurality of interconnected struts or elements defining openings therebetween, and at least one elongate ribbon is attached to an outer surface thereof for carrying a therapeutic agent. In another embodiment, the body is formed of interwoven elements defining a mesh-like structure, and the elements may comprise dissimilar materials, such as, e.g., copper and silver. In a still further embodiment the device is designed for temporary placement of the catheter and body in a body lumen for treatment of a stenosed site, after which the catheter and body are withdrawn. In all forms the body may have an outwardly flared inlet end to reduce turbulence of fluid flowing through it, and/or a gel-like coating of a cholesterol-dissolving or blood clot dissolving agent may be placed on the device.

Disclosed is an unique reclosable metal bottle in which a trim portion of the neck can be reused and mounted on the neck as a collar, or a separate collar provided, that has the structural rigidity necessary to form threads or lugs for recloseability. Thin wall metal bottles, having thicknesses on the order of thin wall metal cans currently in use, can be made using this process with minimal material waste since the trim neck portion is reused as a threaded collar. Structural rigidity and strength can be added by using fillers to backfill the indentations of the threads in the collar. Threads or lugs can be used, including pressure release lugs, that add both safety and convenience. Since the reclosable metal bottle is an all-metal container, the bottle can be recycled without introducing contaminants.

The invention relates to composite compositions having a matrix of polymer networks and dispersed phases of particulate or fibrous materials. The polymer matrix contains a polyurethane network formed by the reaction of a poly- or di-isocyanate and one or more saturated polyether or polyester polyols, and an optional polyisocyanurate network formed by the reaction of optionally added water and isocyanate. The matrix is filled with a particulate phase, which can be selected from one or more of a variety of components, such as fly ash particles, axially oriented fibers, fabrics, chopped random fibers, mineral fibers, ground waste glass, granite dust, or other solid waste materials. The addition of water can also serve to provide a blowing agent to the reaction mixture, resulting in a foamed structure, if such is desired.

The present invention is directed to a wet wipe product. The wet wipe product comprises a fibrous substrate and a triggerable binder formulation. The triggerable binder formulation is capable of binding the fibers in the fibrous substrate. The triggerable binder formulation may include acrylamide polymers, vinylamide/amine polymers, and mixtures. A lightweight ballistic resistant rigid structural panel especially for use in aircraft interiors is disclosed. The rigid structural panel is made up of a core layer including a plurality of sheets of flexible, high-tensile strength fabric interleaved with a plurality of sheets of a thermal-fusible film adhesive, and a sheet of cushioning material adhered to the plurality of sheets of flexible, high-tensile strength fabric. Fiber-reinforced face skins are adhered to exterior surfaces of the panel core for structural strength and rigidity. A fiber-reinforced, polymeric implant material useful for tissue engineering, and method of making same are provided. The fibers are preferably aligned predominantly parallel to each other, but may also be aligned in a single plane. The implant material comprises a polymeric matrix, preferably a biodegradable matrix, having fibers substantially uniformly distributed therein. Inorganic particles may also be included in the implant material.
