Abstract

The invention concerns a mobile device for aeraulic isolation (1a) including a multiple-unit air-diffusing chamber (4) with variable geometry, comprising at least two mobile plenums (5, 6) to protect a sensitive area such as a bed (2), against airborne contaminating aerosols (3). It comprises an air-diffusion chamber (4) consisting of at least two rigid plenums (5, 6) mechanically linked to each other so as to be mobile relative to each other, and having a lower air diffusing surface (7, 8) substantially planar and air-porous. A means for imparting a relative movement (10) to the mobile plenums (5, 6) enables to position them relative to each other in at least two different relative positions. The device (1a) comprises physical means for decontaminating (20, 21, 22, 23) the moving air which passes through it, means for pressurizing (26) air, means for ventilating connection (30) and air circulation, and a mobile support frame (12). The device is characterized in that it comprises means for imparting absolute movement (13) to the group of two rigid plenums (5, 6) relative to the frame (12). Thus, its two plenums (5, 6) are mobile both relative to each other and relative to the frame (12). The device (1a) constitutes an mobile protective insulating device for immunodepressed persons.
