And the color is better maintained, and the impact performance is 31% and 34% higher than that of nylon 66 filled with 200 mesh or 800 mesh calcium carbonate particles, respectively. Above-mentioned filled calcium carbonate filler is all through 2% stearic acid surface treatment.

Abstract

The present invention provides a method of filling calcium carbonate grain to reduce processing temperature of composite polymer material. Two kinds of calcium carbonate grain of different granularity, including calcium carbonate grain A of 200-600 mesh and calcium carbonate grain B of 800-2500 mesh in the weight ratio of 30:70 to 70:30, are filled into nylon-66, with the filled calcium carbonate grain being accounting for 20-50 wt% of the composite material. The added calcium carbonate grain is preferably treated with 2 % of stearic acid. The present invention can lower the processing temperature of nylon-66 obviously, avoid the yellowing and browning of the composite material, and raise the mechanical performance of the composite material by over 30 %.
