Abstract

The apparatus thereof comprises a main control module and a distributing module. The method thereof includes: a) said distributing module reports a message not capable of routing by itself to said main control module; b) in term of said message, the main control module looks up ARP table; if a corresponding list item is found, and then synchronizing ARP data with said distributing module. The invention can make ARP data in distributing equipment keep global consistency. Besides, the invention determines the consistency of ARP data based on the message forwarding state so as to avoid loss of synchronization data or synchronization failure caused by adding ARP list item using software.
