Abstract

The method involves providing a calibrated output curve with a closed valve with a number of revolutions, and calculating coefficients from the curve for output against flow rate on a basis of a performance ratio of a pump. A performance equation for the flow rate is released at an actual operating point. The calibrated output curve is provided when the number of revolutions of the pump is increased from a minimum to a maximum value, while the pump is operated against a closed exhaust valve, and rotation speed and performance data are detected. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a controller for determining pump flow in a centrifugal pump, gyroscope mixer, rotary axial blower, and centrifugal compressor, comprising a module (2) a pump system comprising a controller for determining the pump flow.
