Embodiment Construction

[0012] Referring to Figure 1, a bread maker 10 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown. The breadmaker 10 includes a housing 12 with a side handle 14 for lifting or moving the breadmaker 10 . The bread maker 10 has a removable top cover 16 that can be selectively opened and closed by a user. The top cover 16 can be swiveled open by use of hinges or any other suitable method. There is a viewing window 17 in the top cover, which allows the user to observe the internal conditions of the bread maker 10 throughout the bread making process.

[0013] Placed adjacent the removable top 16 is a control panel 18 with push buttons to enable a user to easily operate the breadmaker 10 . An LCD display 20 in the control panel 18 shows the various program selections and toasting stages.

[0014] FIG. 2 shows a partially exploded view of the bread maker 10 . With the removable top 16 in its open position, the bread tray 22 can be selectively removed from the t...

The first stage in most types of bread is the mixing stage, where the various ingredients are mixed. Then comes the proofing stage, where the dough rises and is called "working". The dough is then baked at a specific temperature for a specific time. Sometimes this is followed by a holding stage, which allows one to keep the finished bread in ...
