Firstly, the management symbol of the checkpoint of an application is acquired; secondly, the parameter values of the management symbol of the checkpoint are judged, if the parameter values of the management symbol of the checkpoint indicate that the checkpoint is managed on the basis of a redundancy model, then the checkpoint of the application is managed on the node associated with the application according to the redundancy model of the application, or else the checkpoint of the application is managed on all nodes in the cluster.
