Embodiment Construction

[0025] FIG. 1 shows a solenoid valve with a housing 1 which includes a channel 2 for a flow medium. The channel 2 is assigned a sealing element 3 which cooperates with a sealing seat 4 . The channel 4 is closed when the sealing element 3 is in contact with the sealing seat 4 . The sealing seat 4 is positioned in a chamber 5 provided with structures 6 for trapping particles.

[0026] The housing 1 has an inlet 11 and an outlet 12 arranged collinearly. The inlet 11 and the outlet 12 are designed as pipe connections, to which hoses can be connected by means of flanges.

[0027] The housing 1 consists of an upper part 13 and a lower part 14 . The housing 1 , ie the upper part 13 , is equipped with an electromagnet 15 with a pole piece 16 and an armature 17 . Armature 17 interacts with sealing element 3 . When the electromagnet 15 is actuated, the sealing element 3 is pulled and the sealing seat 4 is released so that the flow medium can flow through the channel 2 .

Abstract

A valve is provided comprising a housing, said housing containing a channel for a fluid medium, and the channel having associated therewith a sealing element which cooperates with a sealing seat. Said sealing seat is positioned in a chamber with which are associated a particle retention element in order to provide simplicity in construction and ease of installation. Said valve is designed and improved in such a manner that, once installed, it ensures optimal operation at all times while being simple in construction and easy to install.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a valve with a housing, wherein the housing comprises a channel for a flow medium, the channel being assigned a sealing element which cooperates with a sealing seat. Background technique [0002] Valves of the type mentioned at the outset are known in the prior art. For example, DE 10 222 218 A1 shows a solenoid valve which is used in particular as a scavenging / ventilating valve for a tank ventilation system in a motor vehicle. [0003] In valves designed of this type, the sealing element cooperates with the sealing seat, wherein the sealing element is pressed against the sealing seat. During operation, coarse particles such as swarf, floating particles or other impurities can be transported through the channel and accumulate in the seal seat. If particles accumulate on the sealing seat, a tight closing of the passage can no longer be ensured, since the particles would cause the sealing element to be spaced at least slightly ...
