Abstract

A braille display device for a communication terminal and a communication terminal which uses the device are provided, the device comprises a plurality of contact groups which are used for displaying single braille character, each contact comprises a boss outwall which encloses to form a hollow cavity and has a bossing portion at one end for partly covering the opening of the cavity; an electromagnet which is arranged at bottom of the cavity; an electrode which is connected with the electromagnet to apply unidirectional voltage to the electromagnet; a permanent magnet arranged in the cavity and on the electromagnet which has a boss at one side being opposite to the opening of the cavity; a resetting device which applies a resetting force to the permanent magnet to make the permanent magnet pressed on the electromagnet; when the electromagnet is applied unidirectional voltage by the electrode, the electromagnet generates a magnetic force which is repellent with the permanent magnet to push the permanent magnet upward, make the boss extruded out of the opening of the cavity. Thereby, information can be acquired through touching without needing help of sound devices.
