In data from the new channel, audio data lags behind the video data. Controlling speed for playing back data in new channel to make speed for playing back audio data unchanged, and speed for playing back video data slackened till audio data and video data are played back synchronistically. The invention makes user feel that when key for switching channel is pressed down, the content in the new channel can be displayed on screen atonce, or feel that display time delay is small when channel is switched so that user's tasting is improved greatly.
