Abstract

A data storage system comprising a nonvolatile memory, a disk recording medium, a nonvolatile memory cache operatively disposed between a host interface and the nonvolatile memory and storing a part of data held in the nonvolatile memory and a disk buffer operatively provided between the host interface and the disk recording medium and storing a part of data held in the disk recording medium. The data storage system is configured to receive an access address from a host operatively connected to a host interface, and to store an access address in the order of non-volatile memory, non-volatile memory, disk cache, and disk recording medium. Wherein it is determined in sequence whether the access address exists.
