The method supposes the mutual visits between management nodes and nodes of the RAC without passwords; when the method is used on the management nodes, only by providing IP addresses of the nodes to be added and deleted, IP addresses of the main nodes in RAC and names of the database instances to be added and deleted, the method can automatically execute operations of adding and deleting the nodes; automatically finish the configuration of environment variable of the nodes to be added, the addition of new nodes in the Oracle RAC, the updating of lists and the setup of new node instances; automatically stop the database instances of the nodes to be deleted, finish the deletion of the nodes in the Oracle RAC and the deletion of related oracle files on the deleted nodes. The method of the invention can execute the operations of adding and deleting the nodes in the Oracle RAC automatically and rapidly, simplify the complicated input process in artificial configuration, improve work efficiency; besides, the real time online automatic deletion and addition of nodes can not affect the operation and running of the prior database and improve the expandability of the Oracle RAC.
