Abstract

Presence servers (13,14) can hold presence information of devices connected thereto and transmit, in response to a presence reference request from those connected devices, their held presence data thereto. A media conversion server (15) has a function that converts a given video or audio data to a designated format and can accept both requests from the presence servers and requests from mobile terminals. A data server (16), which stores video and audio data, can be accessed by the mobile terminals (11,12), a personal computer (17) and so on. Devices, which can access the data server (16), can store any data into a data storage (161) in the data server.
