In an exemplary embodiment, the beverage maker is connected through a water inlet plug 13 to an external water source 150 (Fig. 18), such as the water system used in a commercial airline galley. The heating system is configured to heat water received for use. The heating assembly defines a flow path 14 for received water that passes through a plurality of heaters 16 .
