Abstract

The invention provides an audio standard identification device, which records frequency bands of carrier waves of a plurality of broadcasting audio format signals in advance. The identification device comprises a carrier wave calculating unit and a switching control unit. An intermediate frequency signal is received through the carrier wave calculating unit; respective first carrier wave energy of the intermediate frequency signal on a plurality of frequency bands is calculated; at least one frequency band with the carrier wave is determined by the switching control unit according to all the first carrier wave energy; a main carrier wave of the frequency band having the carrier wave is analyzed according to at least one threshold to acquire an effective carrier wave; and the effective carrier wave is compared with the frequency band of the carrier waves which are recorded in advance so as to conform a corresponding broadcasting audio format signal.
