Embodiment Construction

[0019] FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a washing machine 1 from the front side. For the sake of simplicity, this illustration only includes components that are relevant for the functioning of the method according to the invention.

[0020] The washing container 3 and thus the washing drum 4 , which is rotatable about a horizontal axis 14 , comprise a supply opening which can be closed by means of a door, not shown here. A detergent dispensing device is arranged in the upper housing area in addition to the control panel 1 . The required detergent is stored in the drawer 2 of the detergent dispensing device which can be pulled out horizontally. In order to receive different washing agents, the drawer 2 is divided into compartments, which are flushed under program control by means of a fresh supply of water delivered from an external water supply system.

Abstract

To reduce detergent losses, the aim of the invention is to provide a method that can be implemented using few material resources, that does not require any additional energy and that permits detergents to be introduced into a programmable washing machine by means of a detergent-liquid mixture flowing onto the preferably cylindrical drum body (13) of a washing drum (4). To achieve this, the washing drum (4) is rotatably mounted about an at least approximately horizontal axis (14) in a tub (3) and the drum body (13) is provided with orifices (9). The detergent-liquid mixture flows in a stream (12) against the rotating drum body (13) in such a way that the stream (12) hits an area (15) of the drum body (13) at an oblique angle, said area lying in the upper quadrant of the cylindrical form ofthe drum. The washing drum (4) is driven in the preferred rotational direction (8) in such a way that the drum body (13) is displaced against the oncoming stream (12).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method of introducing detergent into a program-controlled washing machine using a detergent liquid mixture which flows to a laundry drum rotatably supported about an at least substantially horizontal axis in a laundry container On the drum body which is preferably cylindrical and provided with openings. Background technique [0002] Such a method is known from patent publications DE 4342627C2 or DE 4342626C2. The method is carried out by a washing machine comprising a detergent dispensing device controllable for output of detergent temporarily stored therein; and a detergent delivery line; and a drive motor for a washing drum, wherein the The drive motor can control its direction of rotation. The term detergent is used here and hereafter as shorthand for all types of cleaning, care and cleaning agents which are generally used in washing machines. [0003] In washing machines of the type in question, the detergent r...
