Problems solved by technology

For this kind of ordinary user files, it is unlikely to use the snapshot technology. Generally, only the updated documents will be completely backed up again. That is to say, the method of completely copying the edited document, even if the compression method is adopted, still needs to occupy a large amount of storage resources, thus limiting the performance and efficiency of the server for backup processing

Embodiment Construction

[0026] The technical solutions of the present invention will be described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0027] First, the following basic concepts are defined to better understand the embodiments of the present invention.

[0028] Reference Documentation: Documentation before each edit.

[0029] Edited document: the document after each edit.

[0030] Incremental document: A new document generated after incremental analysis of the edited document based on the reference document.

[0031] Data block: logically divide the data in the document into multiple data blocks. For example, by dividing with a preset length L, the document data can be divided into multiple segments with a length L. In the present invention, according to the different documents to which the data blocks belong, they can be divided into reference data blocks belonging to the reference document and edited data blocks belonging to the edited document. ...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for generating incremental document after edition of electronic document, wherein the method comprises the following steps: reading the data from a reference document into an internal memory and dividing; calculating the index value corresponding with the divided reference data block and relating; sequentially reading the edited data block into the internal memory and calculating the corresponding index value; comparing the index value corresponding with the reference data block with the index value corresponding with the data block after editing, if the two index value are matching with each other, writing the matching position of reference document and matching mark into the incremental document, and otherwise writing the unmatched segment in the document after editing, the unmatched length and the unmatched mark into the incremental document. The invention also relates to a method for recovering the document after editing according to incremental document. The invention generates the incremental document through establishing a mapping relationship between two documents before and after editing and according to the recorded mapping relationship. The incremental document only requires processing for substituting the document after editing in the aspects of data storing, filing, backup, etc. for further reducing the storing burden or network transmission burden.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of electronic document processing, in particular to a method for incremental storage and processing of electronic documents. Background technique [0002] In the fields of data storage, archiving, backup and storage, etc., if it is necessary to keep multiple versions of electronic documents in the process of changing before and after editing, for restoration or as records, the existing general processing method is to store the edited electronic documents Compress as an independent document or use complex and expensive snapshot technology to reduce storage resources or reduce network transmission traffic in a network application environment. [0003] Taking the backup field as an example, most of the backup content is usually not updated again after the first backup, and only a small number of files (such as documents being edited by users, meeting discussion records, etc.) need to be updated frequently. For this kind...
