Abstract

The invention discloses a method for abstracting real-time videos and images based on visual attention and comprises the following seven steps: inputting the real-time videos and images to be processed, converting red, green and blue color spaces of the real-time videos and images into a CIE-Lab color space, generating a visual attention scatter diagram, deriving a functional diagram of an interest region, adopting an abstracting method based on a characteristic flow field to obtain initial real-time videos and images, adopting linear interpolation technology to obtain new real-time abstracting videos and images, and reconverting the real-time video and the images from the CIE-Lab color space into the red, green and blue color spaces. Each step of the method can be processed concurrently in graphics card hardware of a home computer; the method effectively solves the problem that the prior real-time video abstracting method has even abstract; and the invention provides a simple and intuitive abstracting method for real-time videos and images for laypeople.
