Abstract

The present invention relates to a display system, especially to a display system based on photon energy up-conversion. The system comprises a luminescence medium used for light excitation; a light source used for providing excitation light to be led to the medium; a control device used for distributing and optionally adjusting the excitation light to be led to the medium; and a computer used for controlling the light source and the control device. The medium contacts with at least a transparent foundation plate, or the medium is in three-dimensional shape. The medium can convert photo energy and comprises at least two components and a substrate distributed with the two components, wherein the first and the second components are organic compounds and are respectively used as a pair of sensibiliser and corresponding emission component. The first and the second components are distributed in the substrate which is solid, gel or fluid of which the viscosity is equal to or more than 0.59*10(-3)Pa.s.
