Abstract

The invention discloses a universal serial bus device which comprises an electronic physical layer module, a logical physical layer module and a connecting layer module. The electronic physical layer module is responsible for deciphering the voltages of a first transmission line and a second transmission line in a universal serial bus so as to generate recovery time pulse and data. The logical physical layer module detects the recovery time pulse and the data so as to generate an indication signal and sets the indication signal as a specific value when no recovery time pulse is detected. The connecting layer module judges whether the indication signal is the specific value and counts the time length for maintaining the specific value of the indication signal. If the indication signal maintains the specific value for certain time length, the connecting layer module leads a state machine to get out of normal operation state. The universal serial bus device can fast enter de-energizing connecting state after the transmission of the universal serial bus of a host machine is de-energized, thereby avoiding meaningless power consumption.
