Embodiment Construction

[0047] image 3 An aircraft fuselage section according to a particular embodiment of the invention is shown. The fuselage section may be a composite fuselage section. As an example, the fuselage section may be based on carbon fibre.

[0048] The fuselage section comprises a frame 10 and windows 11 mounted on openings. These windows 11 are aligned and regularly spaced along the longitudinal axis 12 of the fuselage section.

[0049] Each frame 10 comprises two frame parts 13 , 14 joined together by a frame section surrounding the window 11 . The frame section is integral with the frame parts 13, 14 by means of fastening means. The fastening means comprise, for example, fishplates which connect the frame sections to the frames of the superstructure and substructure, thereby providing some flexibility for positioning.

[0050] These fishplates can be made of metallic materials or composite materials. When made of metal, they are made, by way of example, of titanium alloys, In...

Abstract

The invention relates to a section of fuselage for an aircraft, comprising frames and bays for receiving cabin windows (11). According to the invention, at least some of the frames include at least one frame segment that surrounds at least one bay, said frame segment comprising two branches (15, 16) that are disposed to the side of the bay. The ends of the branches are attached to each of the ends (17, 18) of the frame segment such as to form a Y.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an aircraft fuselage segment and an aircraft comprising such a segment. Background technique [0002] Commercial aircraft are known to include a generally quasi-cylindrical fuselage reinforced by stiffening elements such as spars and frames, to resist mechanical constraints imposed, for example, in flight. [0003] In commercial aircraft, for example, openings are provided in the side walls of the fuselage to accommodate windows and enable passengers to directly view the environment outside the fuselage. [0004] However, these windows create a number of disadvantages. First of all, windows on an airplane must provide some comfort for passengers by providing thermal and acoustic insulation of the interior space of the fuselage from the outside world. It must also be airtight and watertight. [0005] The window frames, usually riveted to the outer skin of the fuselage, must also resist mechanical constraints such as loads due...
