Problems solved by technology

A disadvantage of this approach is that the same functional blocks required in different configurations under different operating states represent only a small fraction of the architecture of a typical wireless communication system
Another disadvantage is that functions that require other function blocks are not available and therefore cannot be implemented
[0003] Therefore, the complexity of equipment establishment, equipment volume and cost can be reduced by only a small part

Abstract

The invention relates to a radio communications system having a processing circuit (10, 11), comprising a freely programmable logic control and processing receiving signals and transmission signals. The programming of the freely programmable logic control is modified in order to adjust the same to the sending operation and the receiving operation. Said modification carried out by charging and discharging the functional blocks in the freely programmable logic control via a bus system. The adjustment occurs without any interruption of the function of the radio communications system.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method and device for dynamic reconfiguration of a wireless communication system. Background technique [0002] Conventionally, all functional units required for signal processing are independently built in a wireless communication system and connected to the entire system. In order to reduce the complexity of equipment establishment, equipment size and cost, US 2006 / 00073804A1 proposes a device that reconfigures the functional blocks of the wireless communication system during the change of operating state, and these functional blocks need to have different configurations. Regarding US 2006 / 00073804A1, reconfiguration should be understood as specifically referring to switching the processing direction of data within the system, rather than referring to exchanging different functional blocks. As a result, multiple organization of the same functional block is avoided. This organization is implemented on FPGAs (Field...
