Problems solved by technology

At the same time, because most of these tree shrews are animals caught from the wild and have no quality control standards, they do not meet the national quality standards for experimental animals and the management requirements of experimental animal licenses, which will greatly affect the accuracy and reliability of experimental research results.

Embodiment

[0023] Example: Artificial breeding in experimental animalization of wild tree shrew

[0024]The artificial breeding method in the experimental animalization of wild tree shrew includes six steps: source of parents, artificial domestication of parents, artificial breeding, screening of pregnant parent tree shrew and isolated breeding, feeding of newborn tree shrew and weaning, which is characterized by: :

[0025] a. Parental source: It is a Yunnan-Western species of Tupaia belangeri chinensis, which was captured in the wild secondary forest or shrub forest in Gulu Township, Kunming City, Yunnan Province.

[0026] b. Artificial domestication of the parents: The parent tree shrew obtained from the wild environment is first tamed in an eco-type large cage. The large cage has built-in trees, water sources and a suitable (about 500x500x300mm) wooden nest box for its sleep, Rest and avoid. Up to 50 tree shrews can be placed in a cage of this size. Newborns should be fed an appro...

Abstract

The invention relates to an artificial propagation method in the experimental animalization of wild tree shrews. The artificial propagation method comprises the following six steps: parent source; parent domestication; artificial propagation; screening and isolated artificial feeding of pregnant parent mother tree shrews; feeding of newborn shrews; and ablactating. By strictly controlling correlated conditions, the propagating survival rate of the tree shrews can be effectively improved. In a breeding season, the conception rate can reach 90 percent, and the survival rate can reach more than 88 percent, thus the artificial propagation of the tree shrews can achieve the animal experimental large-scale production so as to meet the requirement of the market.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an experimental animal in a narrow sense from domestication of wild tree shrew, in particular to an artificial breeding method in the experimental animalization of wild tree shrew. Background technique [0002] Tree shrew (English name Tree shrew) is a mammal that is easy to raise, low cost, easy to manage, fast to reproduce, small and easy to control. It looks like a squirrel and is more commonly used in phylogeny than rats and mice. Rodent laboratory animals are closer to humans and have been widely used in medical and biological research. There are 12 species of tree shrew in the world, and there is only one species in my country - Tupaia belangeri chinensis, with 6 subspecies: Yunnan West, Gaoligongshan, Hainan, South Yunnan, North Vietnamese subspecies and Yaoshan subspecies. The tree shrews were first classified in the order Insectivore (Gray, 1825), and were classified as primates by Simpson in 1945. The current trend ...
