Abstract

The invention relates to the communication field and discloses a method for creating a label forwarding table, node equipment and a system to reduce the label maintenance workload of a network management system. The method comprises the following steps: a node obtains an entry label of an adjacent downstream node on a label switch path from the network management system and comprises a first label information base for storing an available label of the node; the node distributes the available label in the first label information base; and the node creates the label forwarding table by taking the entry label of the downstream node as own exit label and the available label distributed by self as own entry label, thus reducing the maintenance workload and effectively lowering the network maintenance cost. The embodiment of the invention also discloses the node equipment and the network system correspondingly.
