The control method of the water outlet control device comprises the following steps of: (1) judging whether the pressed time of the control button is larger than a preset threshold value or not, if so, sending out a switching instruction and executing a step (3), or else, executing a step (2); (2) generating a regulating instruction according to the relative motion between the control button and the base and executing a step (4); (3) receiving the switching instruction by the central control box and executing a water outlet switching operation; and (4) receiving the regulating instruction by the central control box and executing a water outlet regulating operation. The invention has the advantages that because the control is realized by matching the control button, the first judging module and the regulating module, a user can realize the control only by controlling one control button; and the control mode is flexible, the occupation space is small, and the cost is low.
