A preparation method for the compound fertilizer is characterized by comprising two key processes of melting granulation and tumbling coating, namely preparing internal slow-release compound fertilizer granules by melting granulation and then obtaining the slow/controlled-release compound fertilizer by irregular granule speed change and tumbling coating. The slow/controlled-release compound fertilizer comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 35 to 65 percent of urea, 9 to 36 percent of monoammonium phosphate or triple superphosphate, 8 to 40 percent of potassium chloride or potassium sulfate, 1 to 38 percent of granulation accessories, 3 to 5 percent of nano chitosan modified attapulgite and 1 to 2 percent of nano chitosan coating agent.
