Abstract

The invention provides a method for manufacturing cool cotton knitting fabric, which performs singeing and mercerizing on a single yarn, and ensures that a final product has excellent elasticity and smooth and cool feeling by selecting a proper fabric structure. The knitting fabric is characterized in that the single yarn is subjected to yarn singeing, reeling, mercerizing, drying, rewinding, double-sided weaving, resin finishing, calendaring, setting and preshrinking in sequence; and the weaving process is to weave the fabric by adopting a double-sided multifunctional interlock rib knitting machine; and the resin finishing process is to add finishing liquor in a tank of a setting machine to ensure that the fabric passes through the tank and rolls of the setting machine at a speed of between 12m/min and 20m/min, wherein pressure of the rolls is between 3 to 10N/cm<2>; the fluid take-up rate of the fabric after padding is 79.5 percent, and the overfeeding is 20 percent.
