Embodiment Construction

[0011] In February 2006, 1,000 individuals were cultured from Leizhou Houhong, Wushi, and Xuwen Chengwu respectively, and each group selected individuals whose shell length was 15-20% greater than the average shell length as candidate broodstock. The selection intensity was 10 %, the parent shells from different sea areas are marked and cultured separately, and they are not mixed with other groups. In April 2006, 60 gonad-mature individuals were selected from the candidate broodstock of each breeding group, and were dissected and inseminated; under the condition of water temperature 24-26°C, eye spots appeared in larvae 20-25 days after fertilization, when eye-spot larvae When the ratio reaches 40%, the attachment plate is put in, and after 60% of the larvae are attached, the attachment plate is directly moved to another nursery pond for cultivation, and the remaining larvae are eliminated. When the size of the spat reaches 2-3cm, select 60% of the faster-growing individuals f...

Abstract

The invention relates to a stage-by-stage pinctada martensii colony selective breeding method. The method comprises the following steps of: collecting 3 to 5 pinctada martensii breeding colonies from different sea areas; screening out individuals with the shell length 15 to 20 percent longer than the average shell length from each colony to serve as alternative parent mollusk; marking the alternative parent mollusks respectively to breed, wherein the selection intensity is 10 to 15 percent; performing secondary breeding; selecting 40 to 60 individuals with mature gonads respectively from eachalternative parent mollusk colony; dissecting and scissoring the gonads and mixing sperms and ova respectively to perform artificial insemination; and performing optimization in a metamorphosis period, a juvenile mollusk period, an adult mollusk period and a parent mollusk period, wherein the selection and remain rate is 50 to 60 percent and a fast-growth excellent variety (system) can be cultivated after selection of 4 to 5 generations. The method has the advantages that: a fast-growth and high-stress-resistance excellent new variety suitable for culture sea areas environment in China can becultivated by performing the stage-by-stage colony selection on multi-generation pinctada martensii; and the selective breeding method is simple and practicable and scale production can be realized.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of shellfish culture, and relates to a staged group breeding method of Pinctada martensii. Background technique [0002] Pinctada martensii is mainly distributed geographically in Japan, India and my country's Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan coasts. For a long time, Pinctada martensii has been the mainstay of pearl cultivation in my country, especially in some areas of Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan, and it is also a pillar industry for economic development. So far, Pinctada martensii has a history of more than 40 years of large-scale artificial breeding. Due to the long-term lack of attention to scientific breeding and the use of a small number of parents for inbreeding, the cultured populations have smaller shells, precocious puberty, and pearls. Traits degeneration such as decreased secretion capacity. In addition, the excessive breeding density in sea areas and the deterioration of the breeding environment have led...
