Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows for creating an easily adjusted type of pressure sensitive adhes that can be used with different types of surfaces without harmful chemical substances like alcohols or other organic compounds found commonly associated therewith.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problems addressed in this patents include improving the performance and durability of Optical Films while maintaining their desired qualities through improved techniques like pressure sensitive coatings applied onto these surfaces without causing any harmful effects upon themselves. Existing solutions involve covering the entire outermost surface of each piece of Plasmon Film with another material called Protein Layer(PL). These technical problem areas can lead to contamination issues due to exposures to environmental factors including water vapor, oxygen gasoline mist, humid environments, cleanliness conditions, heat shock waves, and other sources of stress. Additionally, existing solution involves applying multiple layers of PET foil instead of one single layer, leading to decreased efficiency and productivity.

Abstract

The invention discloses a pressure sensitive adhesive, a preparation method thereof and protective films using same. The formula of the pressure sensitive adhesive comprises 20 to 30 parts of butyl methacrylate, 20 to 30 parts of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 5 to 10 parts of methyl methacrylate, 2 to 5 parts of hydroxypropyl acrylate, 0 to 15parts of silicon-modified acrylic resin, 0 to 1 parts of trimethylol propyl triacrylate or 0 to 1 part of polyethylene glycol diacrylate, 0.2 to 5.0 parts of polyether-modified polyisocyanate and 50 to 60 parts of ester solvent. The pressure sensitive adhesive is coated on a PE or PP protective film substrate for manufacturing the protective films of optical thin films. The protective films can be directly used for processing raw films of the optical thin films, functional optical films, backlight modules and liquid crystal displayers. The protective films can protect the optical thin films from being polluted and scraped by dust and avoid damaging the intrinsic optical property of the optical thin films.
