Problems solved by technology

[0009] When switching from a small filament to a large filament or switching the filament that supplies the tube current and applies the tube voltage to the opposite, because the supply of the tube current and the application of the tube voltage to one are stopped (off) and then started (on) The process of supplying the tube current and applying the tube voltage to the other side requires a lot of time to switch the filament

Embodiment Construction

[0029] This embodiment was made in view of the above, and an object thereof is to provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of switching the focal spot size of electrons irradiated to the anode during scanning.

[0030] This embodiment is applied to an X-ray CT apparatus that reconstructs an image from radiation based on X-rays and detected projection data obtained by scanning. This X-ray CT apparatus has an X-ray tube for emitting X-rays, and the X-ray tube has a filament, an anode, and a generator. The generators are disposed opposite to each other across a path from the filament to the anode, and by outputting an electric field or a magnetic field along the path, the electron beams from the filament to the anode are converged according to the output.

[0031] The X-ray CT apparatus also includes a detector that detects X-rays irradiated from the X-ray tube; a reconstruction unit that reconstructs an image based on projection data detected by the detector; an acquisition unit th...

Abstract

The invention provides an X-ray CT apparatus and a method for controlling X-ray tube. This embodiment is provided with a detector configured to detect an X-ray radiated from an X-ray tube, a reconstructing part configured to reconstruct an image from projection data based on the detection by the detector, an acquiring part configured to acquire a parameter indicating the status of a scan, a determining part configured to determine whether the parameter acquired by the acquiring part during the scan is included within a reference range, and a controller configured to change the size of a focal point of an electron beam to a different size depending on the determination result during the scan with reference to the result of the determination by the determining part.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application is based on and claims priority from prior Japanese Patent Application No. 2009-174177 filed on July 27, 2009, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] Embodiments relate to an X-ray CT apparatus that reconstructs an image from projection data of a subject obtained by irradiating X-rays. Background technique [0004] An X-ray CT apparatus is an imaging diagnostic apparatus that radiates radiation mainly X-rays to detect transmission of a subject, and reconstructs images inside the subject based on projection data indicating the intensity of the detected radiation. It plays an important role in most medical activities including disease diagnosis, treatment or operation planning. This X-ray CT apparatus radiates radiation from multiple directions around the subject, and reconstructs a tomographic image based on projection data corresponding to, for exam...
