Abstract

The invention discloses a method for simulating an intelligent electronic device IEC61850/MMS (Microsoft media server) server. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: 1) analyzing an SCL (simulation control language) information model of an intelligent electronic device, and creating a memory database matched with the model; 2) starting IEC61850/MMS communication service; 3) extracting all the application signals which can be used for simulation, so as to generate a virtual signal library; and 4) carrying out debugging and simulation. The simulation method in the invention is used for simulating MMS communication behaviour of the IED in the actual working conditions, and the function and configuration of a substation automation system based on IEC61850 communicationare debugged and verified, thus causing the monitoring system, the protection substation system and the like of a digitalization substation to be independent from a physical intelligent device when in IEC61850 client system debugging and simplifying debugging of the systems before commissioning.
