Embodiment 1

[0079] refer to image 3 The flowchart in describes "touch input processing (1)" according to this embodiment. "Touch input processing (1)" starts when a screen display corresponding to a touch input through the touch panel unit 150 appears.

[0080] After the process starts, first, in order to count the number of touch detection errors, the touch detection processing unit 112 initializes an error number counter m (step S101 ). Here, it is initialized to an initial value "0".

[0081] Here, the touch detection processing unit 112 inquires of the radio device control unit 113 about the operating state of the radio device 120 and determines whether the radio device 120 is in operation (step S102 ).

[0082] When the radio equipment 120 is in operation (step S102: Yes), that is to say, when the cellular module is performing cellular communication (voice call or data communication) or when the broadcast receiving module is receiving digital broadcast, the touch detection process...

Embodiment 2

[0104] will refer to Figure 4 The flowchart in , describes "touch input processing (2)" as a modification of "touch input processing (1)" in Embodiment 1. Start of processing is triggered in the same manner as in "Touch input processing (1)".

[0105] After the process starts, as in "touch input process (1)", the touch detection processing unit 112 initializes the error number counter m to "0" (step S201) and determines whether the radio device 120 is in operation (step S202).

[0106] When the radio 120 is in operation (step S202: Yes), the touch detection processing unit 112 inquires of the radio control unit 113 about the radio frequency of radio transmission / reception and identifies the radio frequency (step S203).

[0107] After identifying the radio frequency, the touch detection processing unit 112 accesses the memory 160 and refers to the frequency correspondence table stored in the memory 160 (step S204 ). An example of the frequency correspondence table will be de...

Embodiment 3

[0119] The embodiments described above exploit the correlation between the frequency used by the radio 120 and the touch detection frequency to reduce touch detection errors. The display frequency of the display unit 132 in which the touch panel unit 150 is configured sometimes affects touch detection. In this embodiment, a technique for reducing touch detection errors in consideration of display frequency will be described.

[0120] will refer to Figure 6 The flowchart in is describing "touch input processing (3)" according to the present embodiment. The start of processing is triggered in the same manner as in "touch input processing (1)" and "touch input processing (2)" described above.

[0121] After the process starts, as in "touch input process (1)" and "touch input process (2)", the touch detection processing unit 112 initializes the error number counter m to "0" (step S301) and determines whether the radio device 120 is in In operation (step S302).

[0122] When t...

Abstract

A mobile communication terminal 100 is provided with a touch panel unit 150 which is used as an input unit. Touch detection is performed through scanning a detection signal from the touch panel unit 150 with a preset operation frequency. A wireless device 120 performs communication (such as honeycomb communication) and broadcast reception (such as digital broadcast). When the wireless device 120 performs wireless transmission / reception operation, a touch detection processing unit 112 identifies the operation frequency of the touch panel unit 150, which is not interfered by the wireless transmitting / receiving frequency of the wireless device 120. A touch panel control unit 111 controls the touch panel unit 150 for scanning the touch panel unit with the operation frequency.

Description

[0001] incorporated by reference [0002] This application is based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2009-237083 filed on October 14, 2009, and the latter includes specification, claims, drawings and abstract. The disclosures of the aforementioned Japanese patent applications are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to electronic devices and recording media, and more particularly to electronic devices and recording media suitable for touch panel input. Background technique [0004] In an electronic device having a display screen, such as a mobile communication terminal (cellular phone), in which a display unit is equipped with a touch panel and a user touches the screen for input has become common. The touch panel allows for a more intuitive input operation and provides an input method useful especially for mobile communication terminals having a small keypad. [0005] Mobile communication terminals ha...
