The method comprises the following steps of: when a system management interrupt handling program is executed, obtaining a first time value from an advanced configuration and power interface timer; obtaining a source path of a system management interrupt; when execution of the system management interrupt handling program is finished, obtaining a second time value from the advanced configuration and power interface timer; obtaining the execution time of the system management interrupt handling program according to the first time value and the second time value; and if the execution time is longer than or equal to an over time, recording relevant information of the system management interrupt.
