Abstract

The invention provides a symmetry detection method for a coupler keyway, which can be used for efficiently avoiding the problem that the detection precision of the traditional manual detection is low due to influences of the precision of a detection platform body, and efficiently reducing the influence of the manual detection. The symmetry detection method has advantages of accuracy for detection and high efficiency, and comprises the following detection steps of (1) putting a coupler to be detected on V-shaped iron, putting the V-shaped iron on the platform of a pentahedron processing machine tool, and inserting an L-shaped symmetry measuring block into the keyway at one end of the coupler to be detected; (2) calibrating the levelness of the upper end surface of the symmetry measuring block by a dial indicator, and detecting and recording a height value H1 from the upper end surface of the symmetry measuring block to a detection benchmark by the digital control program of the pentahedron processing machine tool; (3) turning the coupler to be detected together with the symmetry measuring block in the keyway by 180 degrees, calibrating the levelness of the lower end surface of the symmetry measuring block by the dial indicator, and automatically detecting and recording a height value H2 from the lower end surface of the symmetry measuring block to the detection benchmark by the digital control program of the pentahedron processing machine tool; (4) calculating a symmetry value according to the measured values H1 and H2; and (5) inserting the L-shaped symmetry measuring block into the keyway at the other end of the coupler to be detected, repeating the step (2), the step (3) and the step (4), and measuring the symmetry value of the keyway at the other end.
