Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device capable of shortening a feeder of a loop vehicle detector. The method is characterized in that a loop signal detector is placed beside a road in which a loop is located, the input end of the loop signal detector is connected with the loop by a short feeder, and the output end of the loop signal detector is connected with an auxiliary short-range wireless communication module, wherein the loop signal detector and the output end of the auxiliary short-range wireless communication module are located at the same position; the detector inputs digital information of detecting road vehicles by the loop, then outputs the digital information to the auxiliary short-range wireless communication module; and the auxiliary short-range wireless communication module sends the digital information to a primary short-range wireless communication module on a road traffic signal controlling machine. The device disclosed by the invention comprises a loop signal detector, an auxiliary short-range wireless communication module, a primary short-range wireless communication module and a feeder. The feeder disclosed by the invention is usually several meters in length; the device is simple in installation and maintenance and low in cost; and by using the device disclosed by the invention, the damage on urban road systems and urban environment caused by feeder embedding is reduced to the largest degree, the construction cost is saved, and the construction period is shortened, therefore, the device is applicable to various urban road environments.
