Abstract

A method for adjusting bandwidth resources of Application Binary Interface Standard (ABIS) interface is disclosed in the present invention. The method includes: establishing communication links between multiple Base Transceiver Stations (BTSs) and a Base Station Controller (BSC), and counting allocated and non-allocated bandwidth resources; when certain BTS among the multiple BTSs needs to adjust bandwidth resources, according to the amount of the bandwidth resources needed by the BTS, and by referring to the counted allocated and non-allocated bandwidth resources, adjusting the bandwidth resources of the ABIS interface between the BSC and the BTS. A system for adjusting ABIS interface bandwidth resources is also disclosed in the present invention. In the present invention, by dynamically allocating the bandwidth resources of E1 links among multiple BTSs according to the bandwidth resources actually needed by the BTS, the limited ABIS interface bandwidth resources can be allocated in real-time and reasonably. The bandwidth resources can be sufficiently utilized. And the congestion of the ABIS interface can be reduced, thus the satisfaction of users can be improved.
