Benefits of technology

This technology allows for better measurements on electrically conductive materials through use of different types of waves called AC or DC voltages that can be created from electrodes placed close together at specific locations within them. By measuring these voltage differences between pairs of elec trode terminals, it becomes possible to measure how well they behave when exposed to certain conditions such as temperature changes over time without consuming too much energy.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the performance and durability of current time grille sensors while reducing their weight or size without compromising its effectiveness due to the usage of expensive electronics components like inductive elements.

Embodiment Construction

[0024] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with accompanying drawing.

[0025] Figure 1(a), Figure 1(b), figure 2 , image 3 , Figure 4 , Fig. 5(a) and Fig. 5(b), the time grating angular displacement sensor based on the alternating electric field according to the present invention includes two parts: the probe base 1 and the fixed plate base 2; quartz is used as the base material, through A layer of iron-nickel alloy is sprayed on the quartz surface as an electrode.

[0026] The upper surface of the fixed plate base 2 is evenly covered with two circles of fan ring electrodes with the same radial height and the same central angle, namely the fixed plate inner ring electrode 2-1 and the fixed plate outer ring electrode 2-2. The electrodes of the inner ring of the fixed disk have the same size. The outer ring radius of the inner ring electrode 2-1 of the fixed disk is 38mm, the radial height is 10mm, the central angle is 10°, and the distanc...

Abstract

The invention discloses an alternating electric field-based time grating angular displacement transducer. The transducer comprises a probe matrix and a fixed disc matrix, wherein inner and outer circles of uniformly distributed electrodes are coated on the lower surface of the probe matrix; inner and outer circles of uniformly distributed electrodes are coated on the upper surface of the fixed disc matrix; the initial position of the inner circle of the electrodes on the fixed disc is half electrode central angle from the initial position of the outer circle of the electrodes on the fixed disc; the lower surface of the probe matrix and the upper surface of the fixed disc matrix are oppositely arranged and retain a certain gap delta to form inner and outer circles of differential capacitors; the probe matrix and the fixed disc matrix are coaxially arranged and can relatively rotate; inner and outer circles of electrodes of the fixed disc are connected with sine excitation voltages withphase difference of 90 degrees respectively; two paths of electric field coupling signals which are respectively generated by inner and outer circles of electrodes of the probe are synthesized into apath of travelling wave signal Uo, and are subjected to phase comparison after shaped with a phase fixed same frequency reference signal Ur; the phase difference of two paths of signals are expressedby an interpolated clock pulse, and an angular displacement value is acquired by conversion. The alternating electric field-based time grating angular displacement transducer has the advantages of low power consumption, light weight, high resolution and low cost.
