Problems solved by technology

However, the accuracy of calculating the quality factor from seismic records is limited by the quality of seismic records.
(2) Using seismic record spectral information or time-frequency analysis, because of the lack of clear physical relationship, these attribute parameters can only play a role in roughly guessing the nature of the formation
(4) The lack of quantitative calibration between the quality factor calculated from seismic records and reservoir properties is an important factor leading to the ambiguity of seismic reservoir fluid detection results

Embodiment Construction

[0024] The following will clearly and completely describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. Based on the embodiments of the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by persons of ordinary skill in the art without making creative efforts belong to the protection scope of the present invention.

[0025] A large number of experimental test results prove that the formation quality factor is not only related to fluid properties, but also related to fluid saturation. Generally, the formation quality factor gradually decreases (attenuation degree increases) with the increase of oil saturation, and the attenuation minimum value appears when it is about to be fully saturated-we call it the attenuation peak saturation characteristic parameter; after this satura...

Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method for forecasting reservoir fluid property through earthquake attenuation attribute. The method comprises the following steps of: determining the relation between a reservoir saturation degree and a stratum quality factor, wherein the relation between the reservoir saturation degree and the stratum quality factor comprises a variation curve between the reservoir saturation degree and the stratum quality factor, and a saturation degree position when the attenuation peak appears; performing reservoir reflecting interface structure explanation in earthquake result data, and determining a reflecting time position of a reservoir in an earthquake section plane; determining the magnitude of the stratum quality factor; smoothing and processing the stratum quality factor along a reflecting interface, and adopting a differential computing method on an earthquake quality factor to determine the magnitude of differential attenuation attribute; and analyzing the variation curve between the reservoir saturation degree and the stratum quality factor to determine reservoir fluid property distribution. The reliability and the precision of prediction on the earthquake reservoir property can be improved through the embodiment of the invention.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a seismic reservoir prediction method for petroleum geophysical exploration, in particular to a method for predicting reservoir fluid properties by using seismic attenuation attributes. Background technique [0002] The use of seismic wave attenuation properties to detect reservoir fluid properties has become a research hotspot in recent years. As seismic waves propagate through fluid-bearing formations, the energy of the waves is attenuated. The main factors causing seismic wave energy attenuation include energy attenuation caused by formation interface scattering and attenuation caused by differences in the properties of the formation itself (formation lithology, pores and their filling fluid properties, etc.). The latter is usually called the formation intrinsic attenuation. The attenuation caused by the scattering of the formation interface, such as: the micro-bending of the wave in the formation multiple times, geometric...
