The surge suppressing and arc extinguishing device further comprises suppressing and arc-extinguishing contacts, resistor current limiting wires and fuse wires; the suppressing and arc-extinguishing contacts comprise suppressing movable contacts and suppressing static contacts; the suppressing movable contacts are fixed on the support; the suppressing static contacts are fixed on the inlet and outlet wire fixing bases; the inlet and outlet wire fixing bases are provided with inner cavities; the resistor current limiting wires are arranged in the inner cavities of the inlet and outlet wire fixing bases; the end openings of the inner cavities are provided with cover plates; the bearing contacts, the fuse wires, the resistor current limiting wires and the suppressing and arc-extinguishing contacts form a parallel circuit; and the opening distance of the suppressing and arc-extinguishing contacts is less than the opening distance of the bearing contacts.
