Abstract

The invention provides a building falling simulation method on the basis of a two-dimensional image. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) selecting one two-dimensional image with a building, removing the building from the two-dimensional image and then complementing the background by a cavity filling algorithm; (2) dividing the removed building into an N*M grid and on the basis of the grid, dividing the building into a plurality of building blocks according to grid lines; and (3) applying forces with different sizes to different positions of the building grid, so that the building grid is cracked in different modes to simulate different modes of falling processes, generating smaller building blocks from the building blocks according to the cracking of the grid, then adding all the building blocks into a particle system to carry out management, using an Axis Aligned Bounding Box (AABB) to accelerate the collision detection of the building blocks and applying the particle system to simulate smoke. The invention provides an efficient and relatively direct method; and a video of the whole building falling process can be generated in real time by inputting a picture with the building.
